Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

He too , is a student, and probably does not have much interaction with him, thus  we can empathise and relate to this quote, of how we can observe and see how great Mr Lee was by his actions. The feelings and handwork Mr Lee had put towards  building Singapore is beyond what words can describe and tell.He loved Singapore dearly and felt an enormous  sense of responsibility which is why he will never really leave.A part of him will always be here to watch over us .

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

The quote that was the most meaningful to me was the one by Mr David Cameron. It was meaningful as it symbolised the independent character and spirit of Singapore that Mr Lee Kuan Yew had set. When he was studying in Britain, the British treated him as if he were their subject, so when he came back to Singapore, he made it one of his goals to make sure that other countries would treat Singapore as equals, as he viewed everyone as equal human beings. The quote also shows his forward thinking. He had a vision for Singapore and managed to bring Singapore from a third world country to a first world country within a matter of 50 years, an incredible feat for such a small nation whose only main resource is manpower. The quote also shows how he was straight to the point in his speeches, not masking his motives or beating around the bush, however he still managed to retain his ability of being persuasive and yet sharp whenever he spoke. Gerald YOU the builder Malcolm TAONG the builder Sean CHIU the builder KHit GOH the builder

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

The quote that was most meaningful to me was the one by Mr Joko Widodo. Although Indonesia had many conflicts with Singapore, some recent examples would be the haze situation which affected several ASEAN countries. He still respected Singapore and it's former Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew and knew about his contributions to our Nation. He views Mr Lee Kuan Yew's contributions as a great help to Singapore.

Group Kabir, Jordan, Sherwyn, Haady

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

My group believes that this tribute is the most meaningful to us as this piece of artwork perfectly portrays the strong dedication and perseverance of Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It is because the artist, Mr Ong Yi Teck, took over 15  hours to write Lee Kuan Yew 18,000 times to make up the portrait of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, similar to how Mr Lee Kuan Yew lived his entire life to nurture, build, strengthen and improve Singapore to provide Singaporeans a nation that we'd be proud of.
(Ashley, Ai'man, Vijay & Dan Rei)

Tribute to Lee Kuan Yew (Axel, Bryan, Thiha, Vignesh, Wynn)

Mr Obama is a very prestigious leader and he is not in Asia, yet he still paid respects to Mr Lee. We think that what he said is very meaningful, as Lee Kuan Yew helped to bring Singapore to what it is today. We thank Mr Obama for his kind words. Thank You Mr Obama.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

We feel that this is the most meaningful tribute as the student took time off his schedule, making the most out of the smallest things, to create this artwork.
He did not think about doing this as a chore, but rather as a form of respect, for Mr Lee's dedication and perseverance.

- Yong Yun Jing, Daris Ker Ann Lee, Ray Ang
